    As a young person living with a mental health challenge, I understand how it can seem isolating and debilitating. A false sense of self-consciousness and public scrutiny can permeate our sense of self-worth as though everyone around us can sense that we are somehow different, less lovable, more 'unstable', 'unpredictable, and less valuable than others. As such, we feel branded, like a product, with an invisible limitation. For those living with a mental health issue even as recently as 67 years ago, this was far more of a literal, concrete reality.
