The experiences and needs of families can improve the delivery of mental health care services. IF provides health care providers with access to the voice of families.
In the past, there was no mechanism for getting input from families. IF has solved this challenge. Through IF, health care providers can collaborate with families, gaining valuable knowledge that will help in the planning and delivery health care services.
“There is a growing recognition that engagement with youth and families can positively impact our practices as specialists working in child and youth mental health. IF harnesses the intent that so many of us have.”
Dr. Jana Davidson, Medical Director and Head, Child & Adolescent Psychiatry, BC Mental Helath & Addiction Services and the University of Britihs Columbia.
