This May 7th, National Child & Youth Mental Health Day, we want to support the mental health of kids by connecting them to parents and caring adults. Our new campaign is… I care about you.
The 2012 survey by RBC Foundation on Children’s Mental Health, http://www.rbc.com/community-sustainability/_assets-custom/pdf/2012-Childrens-Mental-Health-Parents-Poll-White-Paper.pdf, stated that “the time for acceptance of mental health is now – not a generation from now. Life-saving conversations hinge on parents’ comfort level with deeply unsettling topics, and on their trust that communities will rally to support them”. We believe this starts with… I care about you.
Many of you may already have plans for Child & Youth Mental Health Day and we are looking forward to supporting your plans and adding to them. Visit our website at www.instituteoffamilies.ca
